Combining the official names registry in Denmark with statistic data on name usage and wikipedia info on the meaning of a name, and a RESTful API, this is one cool mash-up.

Hack de Overheid ('hack the government') is a one day event that brings civil servants together with coders to discuss Open Data issues, as well as build applications during the day.

OpenData Network Germany

The OpenData Network is a new initiative to promote opendata in Germany. It is a a non-profit civil society NGO. The aim is to help promote opendata, openaccess, opengovernment, transparency, participation and collaboration.

The focus will be on promoting, researching and supporting the development of new methods and tools for dataliberation, datavisualisation, participation and collaboration.

Prosjekt Nye SSB.no

Crowdsourcing the new website for the Norwegian Statistics office (Statistik Sentralbyra, SSB). SSB is publicly and actively seeking input and ideas for the development of a new website. Plans for the new site are to achieve higher levels of dissemination and easier access to their data.
